[Why the water has to be changed ?]
It is because water get contaminated.
It is because pH decreases.
The cause of above is accumulation of organic substance without being decomposed
and Nitrate.
This is the data taken from the experiments carried out at Sakai Fish Farm Hiroshima.
We have set up Bio sponge to five ponds there in order from January 10th,
after setting up Bio sponge, we started using Bacto Power.
As a result, pH became apparently stable.
Thus, as far as decomposing organic substances, Bacto Power and Bio Sponge work
to sort out the problem.
Then, how to deal with the accumulation of Nitrate.
The answer is denitrification.
Bacto Power is produced by freeze-drying ten different bacteria such as enzyme
decomposing protein to get them suspended animation status.
The biggest feature of Bacto Power is to compound facultative anaerobic bacteria
which is capable of denitrifying.
It reduces nitrate to nitrite and also transforms nitrite into nitrogen gas, ends up
in discharging that in the air.
Facultative anaerobic bacteria is able to be in active without oxygen, It transforms
hazardous nitrite into nitrogen gas and discharge that in the air.
In that way, the nitrate is reduced in the water so that pH will become stable.
pH decrease attributes to the accumulation of nitrate, Algae and moths are activating
by taking nitrate, organic substances as feed.
If nitrate is accumulated, pH will be decreased and it leads to the situation that
Nishikigoi lose appetite ended up in getting sick.
Oyster shell can be used to increase pH but, instead it increases GH so that it cause
mucous to come off and pathogen can intrude from there.
We would recommend to use Bacto Power & Bio Sponge in order to achieve stable
pH and purifying water for this reason.
